Kenny Chesney injured himself live onstage during a concert stop in Kansas City on Saturday night (July 15), but the stalwart country superstar finished his show despite appearing to be in visible pain.
Chesney brought his current Trip Around the Sun Tour to Arrowhead Stadium on Saturday night, and the Kansas City Star reports that he was roughly halfway through a set that lasted an hour and fifty minutes when he appeared to injure either a knee or an ankle as he bounded across the stage.
Rather than leave the stage, Chesney opted to finish the show, though he was less mobile than usual. Instead of running all over his massive setup, which featured three huge video screens, he limited his physical presence to a small area at the end of the stage’s walkway. According to the Star, he was still in visible pain, hobbling around and occasionally doubling over.

The following fan-shot footage from Twitter appears to show Chesney moving slower than usual and with a limp as he sings “She Think’s My Tractor’s Sexy,” but he’s still game to perform, and from the roar of the crowd, the fans are still loving it.
Chesney’s Trip Around the Sun Tour is next set to play in Southaven, Miss., at BankPlus Amphitheater on July 19, and runs through Aug. 25 before wrapping up at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Mass.
